Lesson 2 Calling you

This tape we learn how to use different Thai words to call YOU! IN Thailand, you treat strangers like your mother's relatives, we determine which YOU word to use by the age and social status of the other person.

  1. i've just found your site and really enjoying your lessons. In this lesson you teach how to say 'you' to younger (nephew / niece) and older (aunt / unlce)... what about someone who is your equal? (similar age / status)

  3. In Thai we call Loong (male) or Pah(female) to the person who is older than your parents but not too much. You should call Khun (general people) or Thur (close friend) to the person who is similar age to you.
